Last week I had an awesome opportunity to talk to a grade 1 class about my career as a psychotherapist. We talked about what I do in my job and together we practiced different strategies to try when experiencing big emotions. They asked amazing and insightful questions, and we finished with a fun activity!

Some people don’t know what “good” therapy is supposed to feel like, and may stay in spaces where they feel:

– misunderstood
– or like they’re “doing it wrong”
The truth is… therapy isn’t about being perfect or saying the right things. It’s about feeling safe enough to be honest.
